
Operations Manager, Prefab

- Lead and manage day-to-day operations of the Burnaby prefab shop, Nanaimo shop, and future satellite locations
- Drive Continuous Improvement and Innovation
- Supervise and support shop floor supervisors, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards are met
- Collaborate closely with VDC (Virtual Design & Construction) teams, Field Operations, and Project Managers to align prefabrication efforts with project timelines and specifications
- Build upon existing Lean Construction and Manufacturing methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
- Oversee scheduling, resource planning, and material logistics for all prefab operations
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Monitor KPIs and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
- Support the integration of new technologies and workflows to enhance prefab capabilities
- Foster a culture of mentorship and learning to support the development of the Prefab team
- Minimum 5 years of experience in prefabrication, manufacturing, or construction operations
- Degree or diploma in Manufacturing Engineering or Electrical Engineering, and/or PMP certification
- Proficiency in Revit and other Autodesk platforms
- Familiarity with Accubid (basic to intermediate level acceptable)
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Proven experience with Lean Construction and Lean Manufacturing principles
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience managing multi-site operations
- Knowledge of ERP systems and digital fabrication tools
- Experience using Procore or other construction management platforms
