- Develop, implement, and maintain process governance and control frameworks to ensure consistency, accuracy, cost visibility and accountability across business units to support timely delivery of results and reporting;
- Define and document end to end business processes, including responsibilities, workflows, controls, decision points, and data requirements;
- Ensure alignment of processes with strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting frameworks defined by the VP, Business Optimization;
- Annually refresh the Company’s control documentation, including control descriptions and supporting procedures, to support the Company’s internal controls compliance requirements;
- Identify and implement business process improvements that drive efficiency, reduce errors, strengthen controls, and enhance the quality of decision making information;
- Partner with operational and functional leaders to embed governance and control best practices into daily business operation;
- Support system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements by ensuring appropriate process design, control alignment, documentation, and testing are in place prior to deployment;
- Develop and deliver onboarding training for process and control owners to reinforce roles, responsibilities, and expectations for consistent control execution and documentation;
- Assist with Audit information requests, including coordinating evidence collection and supporting timely responses;
- Execute and administer quarterly sub-certification process;
- Provide process mapping, control design, and governance support for strategic projects;
- Contribute to post merger integration efforts by aligning acquired processes with corporate standards;
- Work closely with FP&A and operations management teams to ensure budgeting, forecasting, and cost management processes are standardized and consistently applied across business units;
- Support the design and implementation of new or enhanced systems by translating budgeting, forecasting, and management accounting requirements into standardized reporting structures, data models, and controls;
- Ensure that financial and operational reporting produced through new systems is consistent, comparable, and aligned with management accounting frameworks, performance metrics, and decision‑making needs;
- Support the VP, Business Optimization in preparing operational components of monthly and quarterly management reporting related to process efficiency, governance compliance, and improvement initiatives; and
- Work cross functionally to simplify reporting processes and deliver timely, high value insights that support business unit decision making.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or closely related field required;
- CPA designation or CFA designation;
- 7+ years of related work experience in the mining sector;
- Advanced user of Excel (Pivot tables, formulas, graphs, v-lookups, links between spreadsheets);
- Strong Analytical skills, excellent attention to detail and ability to collaborate cross functionally;
- Self starter with a willingness to take on increasing responsibilities and the ability to work under pressure; and
- A team player who supports team balance and can also work independently.
