Like every member of our team, we will rely on you to provide exceptional customer service to our customers.What you'll do:Perform maintenance check on rental equipment before and after useReport machine condition to ManagementPerform routine repairs on Tools with some supervisionPerform major repairs under direct supervision of higher level service techniciansRecognize and communicate the need for parts and inventoryMaintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily/job basisAssist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & partsCheckout, familiarize, and demonstrate a wider array of more complex Tools for customersOther duties assigned as neededRequirements:High School diploma or equivalent1-2 years of experience repairing/maintaining Specialty Tools and equipment; or trade school graduateDemonstrate mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of toolsBasic understanding of schematics and diagramsBasic knowledge of diagnostic equipmentMust own tools applicable to positionValid driver's license with acceptable driving recordSuperior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skillsAbility to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.This position is deemed Safety Sensitive for purposes of United Rentals’ policies and procedures.Why join us?We don’t just “talk the talk!” We’re an award-winning company (recently named a Glassdoor Best Place to Work in 2026) that truly cares about our people - That’s why we offer best-in-class benefits and perks that will support you and your family.
