
Lead Maintenance Technician

- Lead and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring accountability and performance
- Coordinate and participate in 24-hour emergency on-call programs
- Manage maintenance schedules, inventory, and supply logistics
- Communicate effectively with property managers, site staff, and contractors
- Oversee and perform repairs in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building systems
- Conduct suite turnovers, inspections, and preventative maintenance programs
- Monitor contractor work and ensure compliance with company standards
- Maintain accurate records in property management software (POs, work orders, reports)
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with OHS legislation and safety protocols
- Approve timesheets, time-off requests, and prepare monthly maintenance reports
- Deliver exceptional customer service to tenants and stakeholders
- 5+ years of residential and/or commercial maintenance experience
- 5+ years in a supervisory role
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to assess emergency situations
- Advanced knowledge of Alberta Building Codes and building systems
- Certifications in WHMIS, CSTS, and First Aid
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Proficiency in using hand tools safely and effectively
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
