Visit us today and check out to see why more people from across the globe are moving here.About the OpportunityReporting to the Health Services Manager, the Physiotherapist assesses, diagnoses and treats patients who present with actual or potential impairment, pain, functional limitations or disabilities. The Physiotherapist provides services to seniors in the community setting and works as a member of the Seniors LINCS Team. The Physiotherapist educates and communicates with other health disciplines, the general public, family members and caregivers. This position includes considerable collaboration within the team and with community partners. The Physiotherapist provides supervision and evaluation of physiotherapy students and supervision of assistants. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills are required. The successful applicant may be required to provide services anywhere within the Rehabilitation Services portfolio.About YouWe would love to hear from you if you have the following:
  • Bachelor's degree or Entry Level Master program in Physiotherapy from an accredited university
  • Membership with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists (Provincial licensing body)
  • Experience in Geriatric Care is preferred
  • Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team context
  • Computer skills (statistics input, word processing, Outlook)
  • Physiotherapy is a diverse profession requiring additional courses/education/training in many specialized areas or practice, e.g., cardio-respiratory techniques, acupuncture, stroke rehabilitation, manual therapy, balance training, etc
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
