itec group is recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer with a strong background in managing capital projects related to heavy industrial equipment and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of complex engineering projects, ensuring that they adhere to strict quality, budget, and timeline parameters. The Senior Mechanical Project Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation, enhance processes, and optimize the performance of our industrial equipment.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the entire lifecycle of capital projects, including conceptualization, design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of heavy industrial equipment.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, budgets, and schedules, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure the safety and reliability of all mechanical systems and processes.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to the project team, offering solutions to complex engineering challenges and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Foster a culture of innovation by introducing advanced technologies and best practices to optimize the performance of industrial equipment and increase productivity.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers to facilitate seamless project execution and procurement processes.
  • Monitor project progress and performance metrics, preparing regular reports and presenting updates to senior management and key stakeholders.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in managing capital projects within a heavy industrial environment, with a focus on continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong technical expertise in mechanical engineering principles, including knowledge of industrial equipment design, installation, and maintenance.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects from inception to completion.
