- Internal receiving & planning and routing of shipments
- Order picking and truck loading
- Load consolidation for cost and service efficiency
- Dock and door planning and staging
- Rack storage management
- Scheduling, off-loading, and put-away of received loads
- Material flow optimization within the manufacturing facility
- Inventory management across all levels
- Forklift operation
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and support workplace health and safety initiatives
- Regular communication with internal and external customers to understand and meet their needs
- Assist in establishing department goals and contribute to achieving them
- Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives
- Foster teamwork, cooperation, and effective communication within the department and the company
- Perform other assigned duties
- High school diploma required; post-secondary education preferred
- Experience in shipping or warehouse environment with knowledge of manufacturing inventory processes
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with experience in continuous improvement methodologies
- Leadership skills to supervise and motivate team members
- Computer literate, proficient in PC-based programs like Word and Excel, and ability to learn and utilize production management tools
- Willingness to undergo relevant courses in shipping, distribution, and warehousing.
