Primary Duties:
- Adherence to company Standards of Business Conduct and its Values and Principles.
- Take a leadership role in promoting product quality, employee development and cost reduction initiatives.
- Supervise the materials production area, scheduling, logistics / customer service and inventory control functions, ensuring that materials and services are procured in a timely manner at the lowest possible prices without impacting quality, performance, or customer service.
- Implement and maintain effective controls for all areas of responsibility.
- Provides long term production and inventory plans that insure optimal utilization of capacity and assets.
- Establish and maintain effective internal and external customer relationships
- Identify and implement cost reduction/ avoidance opportunities.
- Manage the flow of raw packaging materials and supplies coming into the facility and the processes and systems to efficiently manage the material flow.
- Manage departmental expenses to meet budget. Work with department employee to create cost reduction projects.
- Establish and maintain 5S system. Work with supervisors and hourly employees to ensure plant housekeeping meets or exceed standards.
- Other Duties as assigned
- 4 year degree in Business Management or related field
- 5 years experience in manufacturing environment
- 2 years experience in supervisory role
- Demonstrated ability in solving problems related to manufacturing processes
- Excellent communication skills
- Possess strong interpersonal skills and must be an effective communicator.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organize objectives and targets to meet deadlines.
- Strong computer skills
- Six sigma certification
- Previous glass experience
