Shift: Monday-Thursday 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (OT Possible)
Employment Type: Temp-to-PermJob Summary:We are currently hiring a Yard Associate for our client in Orillia to work in the Shipping Department in a combined indoor/outdoor role. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling and shipping very large and heavy materials (up to 4000 lbs). This role is ideal for someone with previous experience in a lumber yard or industrial yard setting who takes pride in their work and values safety, reliability, and teamwork.Key Responsibilities:Operate a forklift to move, load, and unload large materials safelySupport shipping and receiving activities, including preparing shipmentsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe yard and warehouse areaHandle oversized and heavy objects efficiently (up to 4000 lbs)Assist with inventory control and stock organizationTrain on or operate a Zoom Boom if certified or willing to be certifiedWork both inside and outside in various weather conditionsQualifications:Valid Forklift Certification (required) - forklift assessment will be completed on siteExperience handling large/heavy materialsPrevious lumber yard or industrial yard experience strongly preferredAbility to work indoors and outdoors year-roundPhysically fit and able to lift/move heavy items safelyZoom Boom certification is an asset (or willingness to obtain)Positive attitude, dependable, safety-focused, and takes pride in high-quality workCompensation & Opportunity:Competitive hourly wagePossibility for overtimeTemp-to-perm opportunity with a reputable companyOngoing training and opportunity for skill developmentApply Now!
