- Degree in Business Communication, Communication Studies, Corporate Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, or equivalent combination of education and lived experience
- Strong knowledge of communication development methods, public education, and awareness strategies
- Experience providing strategic communication advice to leadership
- Experience engaging Indigenous governments, government representatives, stakeholder groups, and the public
- Knowledge of Yukon Environmental and Socio-economic Assessment Act (YESAA) and Yukon First Nations and First Nation Agreements
- Leading corporate communication planning, vision, and narrative development, and serving as YESAB's media contact.
- Designing and delivering public education and awareness initiatives
- Briefing the Executive Director and senior leadership on emerging
- Providing communication leadership during organizational initiatives and change management
- Ensuring consistency in branding across all corporate materials, reports (including the Annual Report), digital communications, and social media
- Leading outreach to understand perspectives of Indigenous governments, governments, stakeholders, and the public
- Managing contracts with communications consultants and designers
- Supervising and supporting the Communications Unit, including performance management and task coordination
