Our client, a busy machine shop is seeking a skilled CNC Machine Operator to join their manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision parts and components. This role involves reading blueprints, adjusting CNC programs to meet required tolerances, and ensuring the accuracy and quality of machined parts.This is a temporary to permanent position therefore not suitable for students.Shift: Night - 10:00PM - 6:30AMHourly Rate of Pay: $23.50Duties
  • Set up and operate CNC machinery, including Lathe and Milling machines for production.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings to maintain required machine tolerances on parts.
  • Modify and adjust CNC machining programs and offsets to meet drawing specifications.
  • Use various precision measuring instruments to conduct First-off and in-process inspections.
  • Replace tools and insets as needed based on in-process inspections.
  • Make subassemblies using hand and power tools.
  • Operate manual machines as required.
  • Package and apply proper identification to machines parts for shipping.
  • Follow standard work practices, method sheets, and instructions.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and adhere to Lean Manufacturing principles and FEM requirements.
  • Report equipment and tool malfunctions or damages to supervisor.
  • Complete other production and tool
  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot issues with machinery and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
  • Assemble components as needed based on project requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and maintain quality standards.
  • Complete other production-related tasks as directed by supervisor.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding blueprint drawings is essential
  • Minimum 5 years prior CNC experience (Lathe and Milling machines)
  • Ability to follow engineering instructions.
  • Ability to use various measuring instruments and hand and power tools
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Crane training and asset.
