- The candidate will join the River Class Destroyer (RCD) Land Based Test Facility (LBTF) technical leadership team, supporting the design and implementation of shore-based labs. In particular, the focus of this role is leading the design, procurement and delivery effort for LBTF lab cabling.
- The successful candidate will:
- Be responsible for the development, review, delivery and maintenance of a Cable Management Plan.
- Oversee a cable design team in the development, review and delivery of Cable Pull Sheets and Cable Run Sheets (CRSs)
- Oversee shore-based lab cable routing design in support of the artifacts above
- Manage the suppliers providing cabling material and/or cable installation support starting from the bid process, through cable delivery and cable installation.
- Manage Master Schedule activities that pertain to shore-based lab cabling
- Manage the budgets that pertain to shore-based lab cabling
- Regularly liaise directly with the customer regarding the planning and execution of cable design, and procurement, and installation, including the development of presentation material
- Collect, analyze and report metrics and status to the program technical leads and program management
- Participate in the development of Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and cost estimates
- Degree or diploma in Electrical, Mechanical engineering, Combat Systems Engineering
- Knowledge in Systems Engineering
- Experience in ship Cable Management and cable/connector design
- Ability to prioritize competing demands
- Proven track record of successfully leading a team, demonstrating strong project management, customer management and leadership skills
- Proficiency in planning, execution, and reporting using industry-standard tools and methodologies
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders
- Experience with CMPIC (Configuration Managed Project Integrated Cabling) software
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering and Cameo software
- Experience in space arrangements and outfitting, using 2D or 3D AutoCAD or other CAD software
- Experience with Microsoft Common Office Tools
- Experience with Agile methodologies
