- Supervise daily on-site activities, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate and oversee subcontractors, trades, and site staff to maintain project schedules and scope.
- Monitor construction progress and proactively address issues or delays to keep projects on track.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce compliance with OHSA regulations and company safety protocols.
- Interpret and work from blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications to guide field operations.
- Maintain effective communication with Project Managers, consultants, inspectors, and clients to report on-site progress and challenges.
- Manage material deliveries, site inventory, and logistics to ensure timely execution and minimize disruptions.
- Prepare and maintain detailed daily site reports, work logs, and project documentation.
- Participate in project start-up and close-out activities, including deficiency tracking, final inspections, and punch list completion.
- Ensure safe and proper use, storage, and maintenance of site tools, equipment, and temporary structures.
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in construction, in general construction, restoration or renovation projects. ICI Projects.
- Solid understanding of construction practices, building codes, and health & safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with a focus on team coordination and problem-solving.
- Experience managing subcontractors and site logistics.
- Proficiency in preparing site documentation and reports.
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation; safety certifications (e.g., WHMIS, Working at Heights) are an asset.
- Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- IICRC Certification (WRT, FSRT, AMRT) is an asset.
