- Conduct research and policy analysis, coordinate and analyze development proposals;
- Prepare and submit land use planning applications, including reporting and documentation for municipal approval;
- Provide subject matter expertise related to land use planning;
- Comprehend and decide the applicability of relevant local, provincial and federal government regulations on an individual project basis;
- Liaise with clients, lawyers and consultants;
- Keeping file management on a daily basis,
- Conduct due diligence reviews on corporate transactions involving real estate with respect to a propertys land use policy context, compliance with regulations and policies, and analysis of development or intensification potential;
- Manage projects and consultation with stakeholders and complete reporting for land use planning projects;
- Assist other department team members, including support with Local Planning Appeal Tribunals and in particular, the Ontario Land Tribunal, as required; and
- Assist with special projects and assignments, as required.
