Apply today and help us build what matters.Your Impact Starts HereGraham is actively recruiting a Project Accountant / Operations Accountant to support the Ontario Division. Reporting to the Assistant Regional Operations Controller, this role provides end-to-end accounting and financial support for a portfolio of building projects, including project controls, reporting, budgets, and forecasts.Your Role in Building What Matters – From Office to Site
  • Project Accounting & Close - Lead transactional accounting, reconciliations, revenue recognition, accruals, and month-end close.
  • Contracts, Billing & Account Receivable - Manage subtrade contracts, owner billings, Account Receivable, collections, and change order reconciliations.
  • Compliance & Audits - Ensure compliance with accounting standards, contracts, tax, and regulatory requirements, lead audits.
  • Financial Reporting & Cash Flow - Prepare and analyze cash flow, Account Receivable, Account Payable, and support budgets and monthly reviews.
  • Operations Partnership & Process Improvement - Partner with Operations on project setup, bids, and contract administration while driving system and process improvements.
The Right Tools for the Job
  • Education & Credentials: Degree in Commerce, Business, Accounting, or related field; CPA designation preferred.
  • Experience: 8+ years of relevant project accounting experience, ideally in construction, engineering, or heavy manufacturing environments.
  • Skills & Systems: Advanced ERP proficiency (SAP preferred), with experience supporting audits, compliance, and system/process improvements.
Compensation
  • Salary Range $80,000 to $90,000 per annum
  • Compensation aligned to education and experience, ensuring fair and competitive placement
  • Three to five weeks of vacation, with additional credit for prior industry experience
