Compensation: $115,000 $135,000Our client, a highly regarded and design-focused interior design firm located in downtown Toronto, is seeking an experienced Studio Manager to lead and oversee the effective delivery of projects across a dynamic, multi-location team. This leadership position is central to ensuring the studios operations, project execution, and team development remain aligned with the firms reputation for design excellence and client service.The OpportunityThe Studio Manager will provide both operational and project leadership for a team of eight, with five designers located in Toronto and an additional group working internationally across multiple time zones. This role requires a professional who is adaptable, approachable, and skilled at fostering collaboration across diverse teams. With a calm, steady leadership style, the Studio Manager will oversee all aspects of project delivery from planning and resourcing through to financial oversight, client management, and successful completion.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor, and support a team of designers, providing guidance on design execution, project requirements, and professional growth.Manage all aspects of project delivery, including scheduling, resourcing, budgeting, contracting, and deliverables.Ensure the financial health of projects by tracking budgets, monitoring costs, and aligning project design decisions with financial parameters.Oversee project timelines and ensure deliverables are met, managing both internal workflows and external client expectations.Collaborate with overseas team members across different time zones to maintain efficiency, communication, and consistency in project outcomes.Provide direction in contract administration, ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry standards.Contribute to business development efforts by assisting in project estimating, fee proposals, and contract negotiations.Serve as the key liaison with clients, ensuring satisfaction through clear communication, professionalism, and delivery of high-quality results.Encourage and foster an entrepreneurial, solutions-focused approach within the team to overcome challenges and drive successful outcomes.Promote a positive, collaborative studio culture that balances creativity with disciplined project management.Candidate Profile15+ years of progressive experience in interior design, architecture, or project management, with proven studio leadership experience. With at least 7-8 years in Corporate workplace design.Strong track record of managing projects from inception through completion, including budgets, contracts, schedules, and client relationships.Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and lead teams across varying levels of experience.Financial acumen with the ability to estimate, track, and control project costs while maintaining alignment with design intent.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and foster collaboration across teams and with clients.Resourceful, open-minded, and entrepreneurial, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and adapt to challenges.Calm and composed leadership style, able to bring clarity and focus in fast-paced environments.Familiarity with contract administration, consultant coordination, and regulatory requirements.Ability to be based in the Toronto studio at least four days per week, with flexibility to support overseas collaboration.The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary in the range of $115,000 - $135,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.ApplicationTo apply for this opportunity, please submit your resume to:
