The Senior Project Manager will possess a strong understanding of the design and construction process and will have experience managing the process on projects from inception to completion. There will be a specific emphasis on maintaining and building client relationships as well as a dynamic approach to working with a team through the contracting, construction and tendering phases. Building targeted goals and meeting objectives and timelines will be a key component of the day to day duties of this role, so good organisation skills are essential. Projects will focus in both large and small commercial and mixed-use developments throughout Western Canada. The position will have opportunity to grow further into a Senior Leadership/Management position such as an Associate role, therefore strong leadership skills are preferred.WHAT'S REQUIRED
This candidate will have the following aspects;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with Project Management in North America
  • Registered Architect, AIBC or eligible to become registered preferred
  • PMP, LEED certifications are assets
  • Excellent experience managing large projects from inception to completion with understanding of the contracting and construction phases
  • Strong technical experience so as to be able to review and mark up drawings on occasion
  • Ability to perform and execute a project as well as lead a team effectively is a must
  • Good Contract Administration skills
  • Experience working with engineers, architects, and technologists with various projects following schedules and timelines efficiently
  • Experience working with project financials and budgets
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills
  • Some experience working with woodframe projects/construction is essential, on multifamily projects
