What & Why:As a result of growth and investment in technology our client is looking to add a front-end developer to one of their scrum teams. In this role you will be building and maintaining the tools, infrastructure, and integrations that collect user behavior data across their digital platforms. This job sits at the intersection of engineering, data, and privacy, and plays a critical role in how they gather actionable insights about digital experiences. You're not just helping build the interface, you're ensuring that what happens on the interface gets measured, interpreted, and improved based on real user behavior. You'll be ensuring accurate, privacy-compliant data collection across web and app experiences (think clicks, scrolls, interactions, pageviews) and enabling analytics platforms (like Google Analytics 4 and Quantum Metric) to capture rich data at scale. You will also be collaborating with privacy, product, and engineering teams to build tracking features into front-end experiences using modern frameworks (React, Next.js). They are located close to rapid transit in newly renovated offices in downtown Vancouver and have a hybrid work environment with 3 days a week in office.You:You will bring the following education, skills and experience to the role:
  • 5+ years of real-world experience developing, deploying, scaling, and maintaining software applications. A good portion of this experience should come from developing solutions in and around cloud-based services and/or service-oriented architecture.
  • 5+ years' experience with JavaScript/Typescript and React applications deployed to a cloud environment, including experience deploying serverless applications on AWS, Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
  • 3+ years' experience in React.js, Next.js, GraphQL, and/or micro frontends.
  • Experience integrating web frontends with complex multi-tier applications.
  • Working with web analytics platforms like Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics.
  • Knowledge of client-side tag management systems such as Adobe Launch and GTM.
  • Familiarity with server-side data collection tools like MetaRouter, Tealium, or GTM.
  • Experience with monorepos and contributing to large-scale frontend architecture.
