
Payroll & Benefits Administrator

- Start to finish processing of weekly payroll for approximately 100 employees.
- Accurate and timely processing of field time-reporting and tracking using an in-house system currently.
- Establish trusted relationships with employees at all levels in order be a first point of contact for payroll related matters.
- Providing support and responding to employees for payroll and benefits-related queries
- Completing and processing ROE's using Service Canada's ROE WEB program.
- Processing and tracking all payroll related obligations including Garnishments and Family Support.
- Completing benefits administration for Canada and USA: seasonal and new employee enrollments, classification changes, and removals.
- Maintain employee records/files.
- Assist with onboarding of employees, as required.
- Participating in the payroll system upgrade transition including payroll and HR process changes and the education and training of employees on the new system.
- 1-2 years hands-on payroll processing and benefit administration experience.
- PCP certification or pursuit thereof is preferred
- Strong working knowledge of standard payroll concepts, practices and procedures.
- Ability to work within tight timeframes in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to take ownership for managing own deadlines and working independently.
- Professionalism in working with confidential information.
- Must demonstrate a positive, problem-solving, customer-orientated attitude with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with ADP Work Force Now (WFN) software is an asset.
- Experience with both US and Canadian payroll is an asset.
- Experience with construction industry considered an asset.
- Capability to work in change environment.
