As our client's Sr. SEO Strategist, you will play a pivotal role in driving the organic growth of their client's websites. You will be responsible for defining, executing, and optimizing SEO strategies for clients across various industries. As a senior member of their team, you will lead by example, setting the standard for best practices and ensuring that we're exceeding our clients' expectations for traffic growth and conversions. Your in-depth understanding of technical SEO, on-page SEO, off-page SEO, and industry tools will be crucial in creating successful SEO campaigns and achieving the desired business outcomes for their clients.Objectives for RoleYour primary objective as their Sr. SEO Strategist is to develop and implement effective SEO strategies that maximize their client's online visibility, drive organic traffic, and increase conversions. You will be responsible for identifying keyword opportunities, crafting content strategies, executing technical SEO, and optimizing on-page elements to improve search rankings. Additionally, you will be expected to analyze competitors' strategies, reverse engineer their success, and create monthly performance reports for clients. Your ultimate goal is to build a strong foundation for sustainable organic growth, translating SEO results into tangible business and sales goals for their clients.In This Role, You Will:
  • Own the definition, execution, and optimization of SEO strategies for clients in various industries
  • Onboard new clients with a full technical analysis, fix list, and content strategy
  • Communicate with and convey these strategies and results to their clients
  • Perform keyword research and identify opportunities for their clients to target
  • Create article outlines and assign them to writers and editors
  • Upload and optimize content and landing pages they create or QA once live
  • Generate link building lists with sponsorship and content opportunities
  • Perform quarterly technical reviews and crawls and provide lists of fixes or implement when possible
  • Identify competitors in the space and reverse engineer their SEO and content strategies
  • Help define success metrics, KPIs and translate SEO results to business and sales goals
  • Create monthly performance reports for clients
What You Bring:
  • 3-7 years of SEO experience
  • Experience working with WordPress, Shopify, Webflow, and other content management systems
  • Strong analytics skills and experience with data visualization tools including Google Analytics and Google Search Console
  • Experience with SEO tools including SEMrush, Ahrefs, ScreamingFrog, Majestic, KWFinder, etc.
  • Experience managing and growing a team of SEO specialists, content writers and editors
  • A track record of successful SEO growth and blog content strategies
  • Experience with high volume content creation or managing multiple websites
  • An understanding of technical SEO and the web development process
  • A working knowledge of HTML/CSS, PHP, JavaScript, etc.
  • Experience building high quality and relevant links, and knowledge of bad link practices like PBNs and automated spam tools
Nice To Have's:
  • SEO experience in the Cannabis industry or other regulated industries
  • Own your own blog/affiliate website or experience flipping sites
  • Have managed and scaled affiliate marketing campaigns for clients
  • Local SEO/GMB experience
  • Experience with media buying or sponsored content
  • Experience with other search engines such as YouTube, Amazon, app stores, etc.
