- Project: The BA will support the Commercial Lending Transformation Program. In particular, they will be instrumental in gathering business requirements for the Loan Document Automation project and translating them to the developers.
- Reason: Additional support needed for a project.
- Play a critical role in enabling Commercial Banking teams through a large-scale lending transformation.
- Gain deep exposure to Commercial Banking sales, lending, and client management processes.
- Work closely with Product, Technology, and Change teams on a national end-to-end adjudication workflow.
- Support the delivery of medium to complex credit adjudication initiatives for Canadian Commercial Banking, working alongside stakeholders across back-office (BBO), Global Risk Management, and other areas of the bank.
- The Business Analysis is accountable for defining business requirements and process changes to meet the business and operational needs while reducing the Bank’s risk.
- Independently resolve complex problems using industry best practices, technology, and regulatory knowledge.
- Conduct research and accurately and clearly define requirements/stories, and business processes.
- Contribute from a Business Analysis perspective to multiple small projects and/or large projects to implement business solutions, including the implementation of automation capabilities.
- Develop requirement plans, monitoring progress against planned objectives, and securing consensus and co-operation from stakeholders and senior management.
- Ensure all requirements are considered (e.g. Functional, Non-Functional) and clear to all stakeholders (Business / Technology / QA).
- Use business analysis tools (e.g. business process maps, context diagram, use case, matrix) to convey complex information in complement to textual requirements.
- Perform Traceability between business and technical requirements.
- Confirm requirements, keep the project portal up to date, generate/maintain the action items log and follow up with the stakeholders, as required.
- Provide input and review test strategies and test cases, support testing as required, documenting user procedures and workflows, support user training, transitioning to steady state and provide post-implementation support.
- Projects will encompass several platforms, with the primary platforms being nCino and Salesforce, alongside additional integrated platforms.
- 8-10 years experience as BA or relevant experience is required.
- 5+ years of recent proven experience with Salesforce and/or nCino platforms and/or documentation automation platforms
- 5+ years of Process improvement experience with an understanding of workflow analysis and design.
- 5+ years of experience with projects that included the automation of documentation (i.e., legal contracts, client documents, credit documents, etc.).
- Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Visio and experience with JIRA/Confluence.
- Experience operating under multiple project delivery frameworks (Waterfall, Agile).
- Direct experience with nCino Commercial Lending workflows
- Direct experience with Salesforce based workflows
- Previous experience with Top Banks or FI is nice to have.
- Previous experience with the Loan Document Automation projects is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to work Independently resolve complex problems is critical for the role.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills
- Ability to translate complex system concepts into practical, user-friendly training
- Organized, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced change environment
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred.
- Business Analysis Certifications are an asset.
- Salesforce certifications are an asset.
- Best: Highly experienced in working with the automation of credit or legal documentation, preferably with a high level of complexity, brings strong Salesforce/nCino platform knowledge and/or credit adjudication workflow knowledge, proactively identifies issues as they arise and helps drive stakeholder alignment to resolve, and can clearly and concisely articulate complex requirements between stakeholders. Previous experience with the Loan Document Automation projects is highly preferred.
- Average: Some experience in automation projects with some complexity, some experience in Salesforce and adjudication workflows, but still fairly self-sufficient and proactive in identifying and articulating potential issues, gaps or misalignment.
