- Ensure all HSE requirements are respected according to risk assessment and safety manual and comply with applicable provincial or territorial regulations: lead site safety orientations; report incidents promptly.
- Attend project Safety Orientation and make sure all staff and visitors have followed and completed all orientations prior to accessing the site.
- With the help of the safety officer, establish a Site Hazard Analysis prior to the start of the work.
- Report all incidents/accidents and near misses to HSE officer and supervisor.
- The Project Manager is subject to following-up various sites and assist the Construction Superintendent & Site Manager on projects as required
- Develop and prepare budgets
- Contract review and submission
- Link and coordinate with the design team · In charge of all documents (HSE, Method statements, One-calls/locates)
- Make sure that the Construction Superintendent is aware of all the particularities on the site
- Ensure that Materials and Transport have been ordered
- Ensure that the Construction Superintendent visited sites prior mobilization
- Supervise and train the Site Managers
- Attend site kick-off meetings and be present at the beginning of each job to ensure the validity of the work platform, site conditions, design parameters etc.
- Attend meetings requested by the client
- Be the main point of contact of the client and keep good communication with team members
- Follow the budget, P&L
- Participate in the contractual review of the project and coordinate all contractual aspects with the Project Director
- Submit invoicing to the client and supervise the payment tracking working with the accounting department
- Submit the site internal rentals to the Operations Manager and Yard/Equipment Manager
- Reinforce high quality standards and manage throughout projects.
This position is to assist the Senior Project Manager and/or Operations Manager to provide technical support in phases of tender and construction, as well as to oversee job site activities.ProfilKnowledge
- Understanding of geotechnical principals
- General Knowledge of Ground Improvement techniques
- Knowledge of management principles involved in planning, resource distribution, and leadership techniques, production system and people coordination
- Understanding of mathematics and their applications
- Familiarity of relevant equipment, policies, procedures to ensure public safety
- Knowledge of surveying techniques
- Competency in MS office, AutoCAD, MS Project and other software require
- Demonstrated leadership skills

- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering other relevant degree
- At least 10 years of experience preferably experience in mining environments. Proven working experience in Ground Improvement or at a management level is an asset.
- All professional designations in the Associations related to our geographical reach
- Maintain up to date passport
- Valid Drivers License
- Preference will be given to those with experience in ground improvement, pile driving, earthworks, heavy civil, infrastructure, general contracting or oil & gas
Construction Superintendent & Operation Manager on projects across Canada. This includes working with the Senior Project Manager, assisting the Operations Manager and supporting all levels of project staff in tender and/or the construction phase of projects. The individual is to be versed in OHS legislation with a good working knowledge of WCB requirements.
