Description :Toromont Cat is looking for a Service Advisor to join our team in Thunder Bay! This position will provide technical direction and accountability for scheduling all equipment repairs with both the internal and external teams within the service operations, while maintaining good communication with customers throughout the repair cycle as required. The Service Advisor will also collaborate with the Supervisor and Coordinator to ensure quotes, timelines and process flow are maintained to support accurate and timely WIP (work-in-progress) processing.Pay TypeFull Time, PermanentCompensation$59,025.00 to $73,783.00The listed base salary is just one component of our total rewards package, and performance-based or discretionary bonuses may be available.As a Service Advisor, YOU will experience:

In a typical day, YOU will:

Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviours at all times, in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiatives
Receive incoming customer call, PM notifications, SOS alerts, obtain customer information, validate information and recognize the need for product support and perform pre visit diagnostics by reviewing equipment history, outstanding service letters and service resources availability.
Determine potential repairs, identifying additional work, validate warranty determine CSA coverage, prepare quote, submit to customer, get approval and purchase order.
Schedule service work, create work order complete with segments, update service scheduler, contact customer, order parts.
Coordinate local purchase activity and freight activity
Upon completion of work, reconcile parts returned, core returns, review work order segments for completeness (parts, labor, details).
Invoice Processing: close work order, prepare proforma for approval, acquire purchase order, update customer product information and make adjustments upon consultation with service supervisor
Assists counter customers as required
Other relevant duties as required

Must-haves for this role:

Minimum post-secondary education
Minimum 5 years' experience in service operations
