Benefits NegotiableDetailsJob Description :Our client is looking for Service Desk/ Desktop Support in Edmonton!Must Have Primary Skills :
- Enrollment in a post-secondary IT, Computer Science, or related program
- Basic hardware troubleshooting and repair knowledge
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, macOS, and Microsoft Office
- Basic networking knowledge such as Wi-Fi and VPN is an asset
- Good written and verbal communication
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and in a team
The role includes:
- First-line help desk support by phone, email, or in person
- Troubleshooting hardware, software, connectivity, application, and printer issues
- Escalating complex issues to senior IT staff
- Setting up and configuring computers, monitors, and other devices
- Supporting desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
- Assisting with repairs and device maintenance
- Tracking IT assets, software licenses, and peripherals
- Helping inventory, redeployment, and return of equipment
- Providing basic user training on hardware, software, and cybersecurity practices
- Supporting IT admin tasks such as documentation, file organization, and reporting
