Supporting the development, maintenance, and updating of project schedules in collaboration with project managers and work package leaders. * Identifying critical paths, key milestones, dependencies, and schedule risks, and recommending recovery strategies when required.
  • Integrating resource planning into schedules, including personnel, equipment, materials, and subcontracted work.
  • Monitoring project budgets and expenditures, tracking variances against baselines, and supporting accurate financial forecasting.
  • Preparing cost performance and earned value reports to assess project health and identify potential risks or overruns.
  • Coordinating with finance teams to support cash flow planning, accruals, and cost reporting.
  • Producing consolidated dashboards, reports, and presentations summarizing project progress, costs, risks, and performance metrics.
  • Analyzing performance against KPIs and ensuring variances are clearly explained and addressed in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining change logs and supporting the evaluation of scope, schedule, and cost impacts resulting from change requests.
  • Supporting risk and issue management by maintaining risk registers, facilitating risk reviews, and tracking mitigation actions.
  • Coordinating with procurement teams to support contract tracking, vendor performance, and alignment with project schedules and budgets.
  • Working closely with cross‑functional teams to gather, analyze, and communicate project performance information.
  • Providing guidance and support to junior staff and contributing to knowledge sharing across the team.
  • Other duties as assigned by your manager.
What we are looking for:
  • Education
A university degree or college diploma in a relevant field from an accredited institution. * ExperienceTwo (2) to five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in project management or project controls. * In the absence of a diploma or degree, four (4) to six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in project management.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Demonstrated knowledge of project management principles and processes, as recognized by the Project Management Institute (PMI). * Experience supporting scope, schedule, cost, risk, and change control for large or complex projects.
  • Proven ability to apply earned value management and performance measurement techniques.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and recommend practical solutions.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and organizational levels.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Working knowledge of project scheduling tools such as Primavera and supporting systems such as Cobra, Merlin, or PCRS is an asset.
  • Actively pursuing or willing to pursue Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, sound judgment, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Security Clearance Eligibility Required
  • Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”
Working Conditions:
  • Working schedule: Four (4) days per week, ten (10) hours per day for a forty (40) hour work week (6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.)
