- Successful completion of a 2 year Medical Secretary Diploma Program or equivalent
- Three years recent experience as a secretary
- demonstrated ability to transcribe dictation quickly and accurately
- computer literate with working knowledge of Outlook, StaffRight, UKG, Ormed & Anzer; intermediate level in Microsoft Word and beginner level in Excel and Powerpoint
- Demonstrated ability to set priorities and organize time
- Good communication and customer service/public relation skills
- Minimum typing speed 60 wpm
- Demonstrated ability to operate a variety of office equipment including fax, telephone with voicemail, scanner and photocopier
- Working knowledge of CRMS
- Demonstrated regular, punctual attendance
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety
- Functional proficiency in both official languages (oral and written in English, oral in French - and testing completed)
- Previous experience in addiction and mental health service program
- Knowledge of Catalyst and Cerner
