- Manage and develop cross-functional team responsible for printed circuit board assembly manufacturing capacity, yield, and productivity, and act as a champion for continuous improvement activities
- Manage uptime, optimization, and process development of equipment used to manufactured printed circuit assemblies and drive KPI improvement
- Drive manufacturability requirements and reviews with Product Development to ensure best-cost, best-quality designs are released
- Lead initiatives to bring in new technologies and oversee capital projects to deliver gains in productivity, capacity, efficiency, and quality
- Support manufacturing readiness and required technical staffing needs for new product introduction launches
- Engage with Product Development, Quality, and other disciplines to ensure root-cause analyses and resolution of issues in product or process are completed
- Drive standardization and improvement in manufacturing software and equipment
- Manage development of documentation, procedures, and processes to standardize and improve manufacturing operations, and champion development of change management structure
- Create new organizational structures and policies to develop organizational maturity and support organizational development initiatives
- Exceptional understanding of modern circuit board assembly and population methodologies
- Extensive knowledge of modern electronics manufacturing best practices and standards (IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, IPC-2221 series, IPC-4101 series, etc)
- Proven success in leadership roles in manufacturing process development and operations project management
- Thorough knowledge of electronics and assembly industry best-practices
- Ability to rapidly prioritize and balance conflicting priorities
- Exceptional ability to communicate in English, verbally and in writing
- Demonstrated success leading Lean Manufacturing kaizen projects delivering significant operational gains
- Six Sigma accreditation and the ability to mentor others in effective use of these tools and best practices
- Data acquisition and analysis experience using databases is an asset
