  • SEDAR, SEDI and BC Registry filings for reporting issuers
  • Preparing materials for brokered and non-brokered private placement and public (prospectus) financings together with post-closing report of exempt distribution filings
  • Preparing continuous disclosure (i.e. news releases, material change reports) documents
  • Preparing annual and special meeting materials including proxy materials, scripts, minutes, etc.
  • Maintaining minute books for reporting issuer clients and the private subsidiaries
  • Preparing submissions to stock exchange and securities commissions
  • Liaising with clients, accountants, lawyers and regulators
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience working as a Paralegal
  • Paralegal Certificate is an asset
  • Knowledge of ALF Database
  • Working knowledge of BC corporate and securities law requirements as well as stock exchange (TSX, TSXV and CSE policies)
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other Firm members, with the aptitude to take care of clients’ needs in a professional and courteous manner
  • Capacity to work independently, as well as in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail and strong organizational/time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and to redefine priorities when necessary
