Our client is on the hunt for a General Manager of Manufacturing, to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards in their manufacturing operations and oversee day-to-day operations including Production Plant Operations, CAD/CAM Services, Quality Control, Production Control, and Information Technology.
Situated East of London Ontario, this growing company is making waves in their niche market.General Manager Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement new business strategies to enhance processes and procedures, aiming to improve overall corporate performance.
  • Collaborate with production to implement continuous improvement strategies encompassing safety, quality, and operational efficiencies.
  • Foster a respectful, supportive, and productive working environment, providing leadership to the Management Team and guiding employees to strengthen their knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Ensure accountability and proficient management of efficiencies, quality, and cost control measures.
  • Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) aligned with corporate reporting requirements and review departmental performance with senior management. Provide coaching, mentoring, and conduct evaluations of direct reports within the Management Team.
  • Contribute to the development of departmental and company-wide policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations, setting a clear example of ethical behavior.
  • Develop and manage departmental and project budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
  • Facilitate regular meetings with department heads and business unit leaders to address issues and foster collaboration between departments.
The successful candidate has:
  • 7+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 7+ years’ management experience within manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated expertise in machining processes, lean manufacturing principles, and ISO quality systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage budgets and implement process improvements.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
Compensation and benefits:
  • The discussed salary range is $140,000 and $155,000 depending on experience.
