Valid Licenses to practice in BC as an Early Childhood Educator and Special Needs Educator. Three to five years recent related experience working with children with special needs. Valid First-Aid Certificate.Skills And Abilities
  • Ability to organize work.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal effectively with others.
  • Ability to orient, instruct, and evaluate students and volunteers.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Functional use of alternative modes of communication such as sign language.
Link to Full Job DescriptionAdditional information for applicantsApplicant must hold valid BC ECE Certificate to Practice. (Special Needs Certificate preferred). Casual position is to cover unexpected/unplanned absences of regular staff; must have regular availability on short notice. Please be advised that as per the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) ECE wage enhancement funding you will receive an hourly top up of $4.00 per hour, which is in addition to your hourly base wage.
