- Leading client workshops to identify data protection requirements and assess current-state capabilities
- Designing and implementing enterprise data protection solutions
- Configuring Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies
- Implementing information protection capabilities, including sensitivity labels and automated classification
- Supporting enterprise data discovery initiatives
- Supporting deployment of Insider Risk Management, eDiscovery, and retention / records management capabilities
- Developing data protection roadmaps and implementation plans aligned to regulatory and business requirements
- Supporting organizations preparing for AI adoption by identifying data exposure risks and implementing appropriate governance controls
- Collaborating with security operations teams to integrate DLP monitoring and incident response processes
- Contributing to project delivery, architecture documentation, and stakeholder reporting
- 3+ years of experience in data protection
- Hands-on experience implementing Microsoft Purview
- Technical expertise surrounding Data Loss Prevention
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience implementing a variety of Microsoft Purview capabilities, including:
- Insider Risk Management
- eDiscovery
- Records management
- Data lifecycle management
- Strong understanding of IT fundamentals such as operating systems, networking, and databases
- Familiarity with PowerShell or Microsoft Graph for Microsoft 365 administration and automation
- Experience implementing other tools used to perform DLP such as Forcepoint, Netskope, or Proofpoint
- Understanding of the security operations process
- Experience working in client-facing consulting or advisory roles
- Experience implementing other data protection technologies such as data discovery, data security posture management, or encryption
- Microsoft Certified: Information Protection Administrator (SC-400)
- Other Microsoft security certifications
- CISSP, CISM, or similar security certifications
- Privacy certifications such as CIPP
