The successful candidate will be able to work independently on laboratory activities with the responsibility for maintaining instruments and equipment used in the lab. It is expected that this position is able to work independently, with direction from the Laboratory Manager.The schedule for this position is a four day on, four day off rotational schedule with the possibility of night shift availability required.What you will be doing:
  • Perform sample, reagent and calibration preparation as directed.
  • Calibrate, operate, maintain, troubleshoot and conduct routine maintenance on all assigned laboratory instruments.
  • Compile, verify and validate accurate data records.
  • Meet quality assurance and turnaround specifications.
  • Follow all Quality Control and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Report results.
  • Other duties as assigned.
What you bring to the table:
  • Degree or diploma in Science or equivalent experience required.
  • 2+ years laboratory experience with required.
  • Able to operate, troubleshoot and maintain analytical instruments.
  • Knowledge of full laboratory processes.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Ability to work in a positive manner in a fast paced environment.
  • Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
