We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Mississauga, Ontario. In this role, you will leverage your expertise to design and implement data solutions, ensuring seamless integration and efficient data processes. This position offers a great opportunity to work on advanced data engineering projects within the manufacturing industry.Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data into Azure Databricks.
  • Collaborate with business analysts to understand requirements and create robust financial reports.
  • Optimize data workflows and processes for improved efficiency and performance.
  • Utilize Python to design, build, and refine data solutions that meet organizational needs.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity while migrating and integrating datasets.
  • Create and maintain documentation for data engineering processes and workflows.
  • Support the team in developing advanced reporting solutions, including Power BI, when required.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines and system performance.
  • Provide technical expertise in Azure Databricks and other data engineering tools.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
  • Proficiency in Azure Databricks and expertise in building ETL pipelines.
  • Strong programming skills in Python for data manipulation and solution development.
  • Familiarity with creating financial reports and working with business analysts.
  • Experience with data integration and migration processes, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Knowledge of Power BI for advanced reporting is a strong asset.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to optimize workflows.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
