As a Warehouse Associate in the manufacturing & logistics department, your daily tasks will include:
- Performing accurate order selection using pick sheets to gather electrical components for customer orders.
- Managing shipping and receiving duties, including unloading trailers and verifying packing slips against physical inventory.
- Executing warehouse / showroom stock replenishment to ensure products are easily accessible for both staff and customers.
- Operating a motorized wire-cutting machine to cut various gauges of electrical wire to specific lengths (full training provided).
- Handling customer interactions professionally when assisting with order pickups or managing customer returns in the showroom.
- Utilizing manual or powered equipment (such as pallet jacks) to move heavy materials safely throughout the facility.
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace to uphold safety standards within the manufacturing & logistics environment.
- Identifying and reporting any inventory discrepancies or damaged goods to the warehouse supervisor.
The ideal Warehouse Associate candidate must meet the following criteria:
- Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly, with a safe lifting limit of 40 - 60 lbs.
- Possession of green patch safety footwear (CSA approved) is mandatory from day one.
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving or general warehouse operations is highly preferred.
- A valid Walkie / Stacker license is considered a significant asset, though not essential for the role.
- Comfort working in a role that involves both physical labor and occasional customer service.
- Reliable transportation to the Kitchener, Ontario location for a 7:00 am start.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
