Demands a deep understanding of critical technologies such as SSO, Office 365, Active Directory and IAM. Accountable for the workplace delivery portfolio to ensure alignment with the strategic goals of Infrastructure and Cloud Engineering. Pivotal in ensuring the seamless integration and optimal performance of these technologies. Focus on team development and performance.A typical day would involve:
  • Lead and mentor a team of skilled infrastructure system engineers specializing in identity and user cloud-based technologies such as SSO, O365, Active Directory, IAM, Teams, and Exchange. Instill a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and innovation within the team.
  • Design, implement, and manage the organization's identity and user cloud-based technologies roadmaps, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of these technologies in the workplace.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans for the enhancement and optimization of these technologies, in support of Vancity Technology Roadmap.
  • Work closely with Information Security in the implementation and enforcement security policies specific identity and user cloud-based technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to develop and enhance infrastructure processes to promote efficient utilization of these technologies among the Infrastructure and Cloud Engineering teams.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor staff, fostering a high-performance team culture. Conduct regular performance reviews, providing professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of configurations and procedures.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, evaluate and recommend new tools for the Command Center efficiency.
You have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven leader in managing high skilled and performing teams with 5 years or more experience.
  • Strong background in identity governance and administration technologies such as Microsoft Active Directory and Entra ID.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 technology portfolio including collaboration technologies such as SharePoint, Teams, and Exchange.
  • Demonstrated experience in recruiting, training, and mentoring staff.
  • Proven ability to foster a high-performance team culture and conduct effective performance reviews.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coordinate and lead efforts during major incidents.
  • Experience in managing relationships with vendors, service providers, and third-party services.
  • Strong documentation skills to maintain accurate records of configurations and procedures.
  • Familiarity with security policies and enforcement, collaborating with the security team.

The upper half of the salary range is typically reserved for individuals who have demonstrated consistent strong performance in the role and possess a high level of job knowledge and skill.We offer:
