- Visually and physically inspect aircraft structures and components for abnormalities or damage caused by corrosion and normal wear and tear (examples: cracks, scratches on the surface, delaminations, etc.);
- Detach parts from the airplane or parts of structures with difficult access for inspection, repair, alteration or assembly;
- Identify detached parts or structural parts to be repaired, modified or assembled in accordance with parts lists and procedures in place;
- Manually and/or electronically complete the appropriate forms and technical documents according to the procedures in place;
- Determine the sequence of operations to be performed, the necessary equipment and identify the exact position on the aircraft of the various parts or structures to be repaired, modified and/or assembled';
- Check spare parts to be repaired, modified or assembled according to parts lists;
- Check that damage such as cracks, scratches on the coating, delaminations, etc. have been repaired in accordance with technical procedures and manuals;
- Identify, if applicable, the deviations between the parts and the requirements of the engineering drawing;
- Consult the technical documentation and specifications in force, determine the applicable criteria;
- Notify the technical response team and document the non-conformities manually and/or electronically;
- Manage and maintain the quality record book;
- Ensure the final conformity of a product before delivery;
- Write certificates of conformity or other required certification; and
- Write inspection or test reports such as the first article inspection.
- Professional or Collegial (AEC, DEP or DEC) diploma in aircraft structure assembly, aircraft structure repair and/or composite materials with experience in aeronautics and/or sheet metal work with experience in aeronautics;
- CF-18 (an asset);
- Bilingualism (an asset);
- Has strong skills for teamwork;
- Is dynamic and innovative and is stimulated by technical challenges;
- Is organized, autonomous and has a developed analytical sense.
- Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance;
- Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
