To read more about our family of Brands, check out our website .The Head of Programmatic & AdTech will play a key role driving Wattpad's advertising landscape for both direct and programmatic advertising business. Using your deep experience and subject matter expertise in publisher monetization and ad tech, you will design and implement strategies that align with Wattpad's company goals to drive, grow and deliver advertising revenue globally. You are not just managing a stack; you are rebuilding fragmented architecture into a best-in-class foundation that scales. Reporting to leadership, you will lead the transformation of our ad tech into a high-performance revenue engine.What You'll Do:Drive Wattpad's ad tech investment decisions and strategy to maximize revenue from our global users.Work with product to transform our ad stack to meet or exceed industry standardsHeavily influence the evolution and delivery of the product roadmap to enable our programmatic and sales teams to meet or exceed their revenue targetsGrow Wattpad's advertising revenue across all platforms in collaboration with leaders across Wattpad's Programmatic Business Operations, Direct Sales, Product and Engineering teams:Continuously evaluate current ad tech partners and programmatic stack (i.e. MAX Nimbus, Magnite, AppLovin etc.) and drive investments to evolve our programmatic offeringLead efforts to identify and onboard new revenue partners (including contract negotiations/legal review, financial and operational processes, in conjunction with our legal and finance resources)Actively explore new advertising revenue opportunities across WattpadLead operational functions of Wattpad's programmatic advertising business:Manage Programmatic & Ad Operations team (including traffickers and analysts)Ensure adherence to global compliance as it relates to advertisingDirect the team in how to optimize Wattpad's programmatic stack and set-up, and manage SSP and programmatic partnershipsLead inventory pricing strategy - manage, approve, and maintain advertiser floors and advertiser channel management strategyForecast and manage display ad inventoryReport to leadership on performance and optimizationsManage SSP and Programmatic Partnerships:Act as the escalation point for the team in troubleshooting between support teams, technology, and partners.Assist when needed in all aspects of invoicing and billing of strategic partnership advertisers including payment disputes, credit adjustments, and collections.Required Qualifications:Deep experience on the publisher-side of programmatic and direct advertising in a content industryExperience working with online ad serving, SSPs and programmatic systemsExperience creating and executing on advertising monetization strategiesExperience managing cross-functional teamsStrong analytical and quantitative skill with the ability to interpret data analysis and modeling results into actionable recommendationsStrong understanding of the programmatic landscape and current industry trends, challenges in the marketplace, and understanding of the competition.Deep connections in the AdOps landscape (ex. IAB, TTD, Unity, Magnite etc)Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to lead conversations with existing and potential partnersDemonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects and tight deadlines is vitalSalary Range and Description$160,000 - $190,000 / annuallyPlease note, the above range is listed in CAD.
