Business System Analyst

• Seeking a highly motivated and self-directed Senior Business Analyst / Project Manager to lead critical governance and compliance initiatives within our technology testing organization. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving audit remediation efforts, establishing robust testing frameworks, and assessing test environments across the enterprise.
• You will act as the crucial bridge between Internal Audit, Technology Operations, and Quality Assurance teams. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who thrives in a complex matrixed environment and brings a deep understanding of the regulatory and operational standards expected within a Canadian Tier 1 bank.

• The successful candidate will have an opportunity to support a large-scale, high visibility project.

• Lead and support the end-to-end resolution of Internal Audit and regulatory remediation issues specifically related to software testing controls and practices.
• Conduct detailed root-cause analysis and gap assessments on existing testing controls to address Internal Audit findings.
• Elicit, document, and manage business and technical requirements for remediation action plans, ensuring solutions directly mitigate identified risks.

• Create, review, and refine enterprise testing standards, policies, and procedural guidelines to align with overarching IT governance frameworks.
• Map out current-state (“As-Is”) and future-state (“To-Be”) testing workflows, establishing standardized operating procedures for various delivery teams.
• Define and document key performance indicators (KPIs) and compliance metrics to measure adherence, and drive the socialization of these new standards across the organization.

• Partner with cross-functional teams (including Infrastructure, DevOps, QA, and business stakeholders) to conduct comprehensive Test Environment assessments.
• Facilitate requirements-gathering workshops to document test environment constraints, data dependencies, and workflow bottlenecks.
• Identify gaps and risks within current environments and translate them into clear business needs, architectural recommendations, and actionable project plans.

• 5+ years of experience as a Senior Business Analyst, Project Manager, or IT Governance Lead within a Canadian Tier 1 Bank.
• 3-5 years of Proven track record of executing similar work, specifically involving audit remediation, risk management, testing governance, or quality assurance oversight.
• 3-5 years of Strong proficiency in requirements elicitation, process mapping, gap analysis, and creating formal corporate documentation (e.g., BRDs, SOPs, governance frameworks), alongside project planning and execution.
• 3+ years of experience of working with Audit or execution of audit remediation
• 3+ years of experience with Test execution.

• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), test environment management, and quality engineering principles.
• Recent experience with Excel and Powe BI.
• Recent experience with Data analysis
• Previous experience with Top Banks or FI

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to draft formal corporate policies and present complex technical risk assessments to senior leadership.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), test environment management, and quality engineering principles.

• Post-secondary education in a technology field.
• PMP is nice to have

• Ideal candidate is an experience Business Analyst & Project Manager, proactive self-starter who thrives in a complex matrixed environment and brings a deep understanding of the regulatory and operational standards expected within a Canadian Tier 1 bank. Strong understanding of the Audit Remediation & Compliance, test environment management, and quality engineering principles is very nice to have for this role.

• Interview format: 1-2 rounds
• 1st round: MS Teams video with HM and Team– 30mins
• Behavioral and technical based questions. Need to be able to articulate the projects with Real live examples.
