- Lead, perform and support routine QC testing to ensure accuracy, traceability, and compliance with established procedures and quality standards.
- Provide day-to-day guidance to lab technicians and inspectors to ensure adherence to SOPs, work instructions, and regulatory requirements.
- Review test results and documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with quality system requirements.
- Assist in troubleshooting laboratory and equipment issues to maintain testing continuity and reliability.
- Support the maintenance and proper use of laboratory instruments, chemicals and consumables and coordinate service, repair or ordering activities as needed.
- Assist in drafting and updating SOPs, test methods, and laboratory documentation.
- Report and escalate deviations, non-conformances, and equipment issues to the Quality Lab Supervisor.
- Support investigations related to out-of-specification (OOS) or non-conforming results. • Assist in training and onboarding of laboratory personnel.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support testing activities and operational needs.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a regulated QC laboratory environment
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field, or equivalent laboratory experience
- Experience performing routine quality control testing using analytical instruments
- Demonstrated experience leading, training or guiding laboratory staff
- Strong technical knowledge of laboratory testing methods and quality control practices
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills in a regulated environment
- Ability to guide and support team members during shift operations
- Strong problem-solving skills to address day-to-day laboratory and equipment issues
- Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to follow and enforce SOPs and quality system requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Experience in medical device or regulated manufacturing environments
- Experience troubleshooting laboratory instrumentation
- Familiarity with equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ)
- Additional technical training in laboratory operations or quality systems
- Knowledge of ISO 13485 requirements
- Work is performed in a manufacturing plant environment, with exposure to noise, heat, humidity, chemicals, and industrial machinery.
- This role requires standing, walking, and physical activity throughout the shift, including frequent movement across production areas and stairs.
- Physical demands may include lifting, bending, climbing, and repetitive motions while operating equipment, handling materials, and performing inspections.
- The position requires working in a fast-paced production environment and handling chemical materials in accordance with established safety procedures and the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- The role requires rotating continental shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime, based on operational requirements.
