- Hold, or be eligible for, licensure as an ophthalmologist in the province of Quebec;
- Have completed advanced training (e.g., subspecialty fellowship and/or advanced degree(s) such as an MPH, or equivalent);
- Have expertise in research and demonstrated collaboration in conducting clinical studies;
- Bilingual language skills (French and English) are preferred, or a commitment to acquire the necessary language skills to practice medicine in Quebec. Candidates should be able to interact in English and in French with patients, families, and health care professionals.
- Demonstrated Commitment to Teaching: A strong dedication to resident and fellow education, with an ability to contribute meaningfully to both clinical and academic teaching programs;
- Expertise in Ocular Oncology: Proven interest and clinical proficiency in ocular oncology, offering the potential to expand and strengthen subspecialty care within the department;
- Institutional Engagement: A willingness and ability to contribute to broader institutional goals through active participation in both academic and administrative initiatives;
- Collaborative Leadership in Retina Service: A collegial and team-oriented approach to managing a high-volume retina service, including shared responsibilities during regular clinical hours and after-hours care.
