We provide Integrated Guarding, Remote Guarding, Mobile Guarding, Onsite Guarding, Investigative Services and Technology Services.This position is for an active permanent vacancy.Position Overview:Wages: $20.30/hrShift timings: 12-Hour Rotational Shifts, 0700hrs - 1700hrs and 1700hrs - 0700hrs.Location: Dixie Rd. and Derry Rd.RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform access control provision duties at the front desk, verify visitors coming on-site.
  • Dispatch duties via radio communication accepting all radio calls.
  • Issue parking tickets for any infractions.
  • Respond to parking operation complaints and emergency situations.
  • Investigate and issue penalty notices to vehicles illegal parked within the client's area at Pearson Airport, including towing of vehicles interfering with traffic/ property access.
  • Direct and control traffic ensuring safety of client employees and visitors.
  • Provide support for special enforcement initiatives dealing with matters such as Accessible Parking, Fire Routes, etc.
  • Prepare detailed briefs of evidence and complete necessary documentation/processes required for court proceedings when necessary.
  • Escort medical staff including paramedics, police and firefighters when required.
  • Respond to medical emergencies and be prepared to perform CPR and AED if needed.
  • Investigate incidents of trespassers along fence perimeters and property. Deter trespassers from the property.
  • Follow security breach procedures by notifying supervisors or other appropriate personnel when security breaches occur.
  • Monitor CCTV footage and cameras for irregularities and perform dispatch duties for the site including emergency response.
  • Perform foot and mobile patrols inside and outside the facility.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Valid Ontario Security License.
  • Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Certificate or be willing to obtain.
  • Thorough understanding of security protocols and procedures including emergency response.
  • G Class Drivers License is required. G1 and G2 are not acceptable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capable of sustained standing and active patrol duties.
  • Tech savvy with experience monitoring CCTV cameras and using 2-way radios.
  • Previous experience with parking enforcement at the airport is a strong asset.
  • Previous experience in a Tactical Security Guard role is a strong asset.
