This is a new, active role.In this exciting role you will be responsible for:Assist our clients in the conceptual design definition, helping in technical feasibility and constructabilityEnsure appropriate coordination with the rest of the disciplines, requesting inputs and providing results to others in timely mannerReview technical documentation and identify critical defectsProvide guidance to modelers for the BIM model and drawing productionConduct periodic site reviews to ensure construction complies with design intent and codesDevelop structural details and construction plansReview shop drawings and field services in design and constructionQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in structural engineeringMaster’s degree in Structural Engineering is an assetRegistered P. Eng in Ontario or in processMinimum 5-7 years relevant experience in structural design and Rail & transit projectsExperience with complex construction projects involving P3, Infrastructure and/or underground LRT and subwayTechnical competency in the design of structural building systemsKnowledge and understanding of structural design software such as SAP2000 and Robot Structural Analysis is expectedExperience with Microsoft Office, Navisworks, Bluebeam desirableKnowledge and understanding of relevant design standards and codesproject management and coordination skills with a strong ability to provide leadership and motivation to project structural teamsExcellent communicator, written and verbal
