It represents a management capability that can help us, over long horizons, iteratively improve the Fund's long-term investment performance.The Manager, Total Fund Insights & Analysis is a key member of the Management Analytics group within Finance. The individual will be responsible for key reporting deliverables, analytics and accompanying processes with the objective of enabling senior management with financial information and insights to continually improve long-term value-add generation. The role will require an influential voice and the development of an extensive network across the Fund in order to collaborate within and across departments to execute on accountabilities. The individual will require knowledge of financial and investment analysis concepts, combined with effective communication and project management skills.Major Accountabilities:
  • Lead the preparation of board and management reporting, including supporting the Annual Report process, and coordinate within and across departments to help ensure a consistent and accurate 'story' throughout all reports and their audiences
  • Provide an integrated, independent view of investment and business (performance, cost, and exposure) metrics from a total Fund lens, by leveraging data and cross-functional partnerships
  • Support various departments' analytical and informational needs, including through automated dashboards, and serve as a main point of contact for Management Analytics functions
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts across Finance, Office of the Chief Investment Officer, and Risk to drive integrated portfolio analysis, reporting and communication that provides board and management stakeholders with relevant information and insights
  • Proactively anticipate information needs based on organizational priorities, working with Finance colleagues on the delivery of analysis in support of decision-making
  • Develop compelling materials to facilitate senior management discussions, and contribute to thought leadership and other major projects as required
  • Advance the adoption of evolving technological tools to enhance access to data and information, leading to increased 'speed-of-delivery' and retirement of historical manual processes
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in promoting a high-performance and partnership-first culture
Qualifications
  • Exemplary critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to navigate a disparate and information-intensive environment, through leveraging experience in technological tools, to execute on analysis
  • Highly organized with an ability to manage and oversee multiple deliverables simultaneously
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to leverage emotional intelligence to support effective cross-department relationships and to meet stakeholder requirements
  • Ability to combine a commercial approach to decision-making with an interest in understanding the details, to provide situation-tailored solutions and recommendations
  • Bring a continuous improvement approach and the ability to work collaboratively to enhance existing process and develop novel approaches to execution
  • Excel in a fast-paced environment with a commitment to quality, operating independently as needed with a self-motivating and purpose-driven mindset
Education and experience
  • Progressive experience in a role involving financial analysis and reporting, stakeholder communication, and project management
  • A professional designation from a globally reputed professional body (e.g. CFA, CPA, MBA)
