Apply to Deerhurst today, Muskoka’s preferred place to work and play.Grounds AttendantAs a Grounds Attendant you will play a vital role in maintaining the overall cleanliness, functionality, safety and aesthetic appeal of the outdoor spaces. You will work as part of a team to ensure the resort grounds, including lawns, gardens, walkways, roadways, recreational spaces and outdoor seating areas are well manicured, visually appealing and conducive to an exceptional guest experience.POSITION SUMMARYLandscape Maintenance: Perform routine landscaping maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, weeding, trimming, planting, mulching and watering.Trash Removal: Ensure that garbage bins and trash receptacles are emptied regularly and waste is properly managed.. Collect and dispose of litter, debris and fallen branches maintaining a clean and tidy environment for guests and staff.Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain vehicles and groundskeeping equipment such as lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers and hand tools safely and effectively. Clean and store equipment to ensure they are in good condition.Campfires: Light and maintain campfires (firebowls) as per requested times and locations. This includes splitting and maintaining stock of firewood and starter logs..Snow Removal: Clearing snow and ice from sidewalks, pathways, roadways and parking lots during the winter months to maintain safety and accessibility for guests, staff and vehicles.Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures including proper use of equipment and personal protective equipment (PPE) to ensure a safe working environment for yourself, coworkers and guests.
