  • Create accurate, code-compliant structural truss designs
  • Perform calculations to ensure structural integrity, constructability and safety
  • Optimize designs for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability
  • Interpret architectural drawings and specifications
  • Select appropriate materials and components
  • Participate in ongoing training (e.g., MiTek)
Project Management
  • Manage multiple design projects from concept to completion
  • Ensure timelines and budgets are met
  • Provide technical support during construction and implementation
Quality Assurance
  • Conduct detailed design reviews to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Stay current with building codes, regulations, and industry standards
Collaboration & Client Interaction
  • Work closely with sales, operations, and production teams
  • Consult with clients to understand needs and provide recommendations for solutions
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations
Documentation & Reporting
  • Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and reports
  • Maintain accurate project documentation
  • Provide updates to leadership on project progress
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
  • Explore new technologies, tools, and materials
  • Contribute to improving design standards and best practices
Health & Safety
  • Follow all safety regulations and company policies
  • Participate in required training and promote a safe work environment
What You Bring
  • Degree in Construction Engineering Technology (CET), Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering,
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, building codes, and regulations
  • Experience with industry-related design software and tools (AutoCAD experience is an asset)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strong time management and ability to handle multiple projects
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and grow
