- Provide expert guidance to leadership on employee relations, workforce management, and HR best practices
- Support leaders in resolving employee concerns and workplace matters while maintaining a positive and engaged culture
- Assess and mitigate risks related to employment matters and ensure compliance with applicable legislation
- Lead recruitment strategies and oversee the full talent acquisition lifecycle
- Coach hiring managers and Talent Acquisition lead on equitable, consistent hiring practices
- Review sourcing strategies, assessment tools, and best practices to attract and retain top talent
- Partner with HR leadership to develop, interpret, and maintain HR policies and procedures
- Monitor legislative changes and emerging HR trends, ensuring policies remain compliant and competitive
- Contribute to the development and execution of HR strategic initiatives
- Supports the development and execution of the organization's learning and development strategy, including the design, delivery and evaluation of training programs
- Manage the annual and semi-annual performance review cycles
- Support managers in addressing performance challenges and building effective development plans
- Provide guidance on leadership development, succession planning, and change management
- Support restructuring initiatives, workforce planning, and organizational transitions
- Work with leadership and legal partners to manage restructuring processes and employee transitions
- Provide coaching and support to leaders during periods of change
- Oversee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a strong employee experience from day one.
- Support employee engagement initiatives including surveys, feedback sessions, and action planning.
- Develop toolkits and resources that empower leaders to build strong, inclusive teams
- Provide leadership and mentorship to HR team members to ensure consistent service delivery
- Manage HR projects and initiatives aligned with organizational priorities
- Contribute to the development of HR tools, training programs, and leadership resources
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- CHRP/CHRL designation preferred
- 7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
- Experience across core HR functions including employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, compensation, and learning & development
- Prior team management experience is considered an asset
- Strong knowledge of Ontario employment legislation, including:
- Employment Standards Act
- Human Rights Code
- Occupational Health & Safety legislation
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and conflict resolution skills
- Experience with HRIS platforms such as Workday or similar systems
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Learning Management Systems (LMS) is an asset
- High level of discretion when handling confidential information
