Winnipeg, ManitobaReporting to the Vice-President, Operations and Regulatory Affairs, the Marketing and Communications Specialist leads and executes communication and marketing strategies for members, business leaders, Human Resources professionals, students, and the public.As the Marketing and Communications Specialist, you will:
- Lead management and execution of all internal and external communication projects and strategic initiatives for promoting and sharing information and developments for the CPHR designation and the Human Resources profession.
- Create clear, concise, and engaging content for the weekly newsletter and e-blasts, bi-annual materials, annual report, business plan, and year-end reports.
- Manage strategic partnerships and sponsorship activations. Ensure timeliness, responsiveness, goals, and values alignment.
- Monitor media coverage and serve as media contact.
- Develop positive working relationships and external service providers, including print, design, and advertising firms, to achieve communication goals and timelines.
- Recommend enhancements to marketing and communication strategies to maximize message impact and process efficiencies.
- Work collaboratively with all CPHR team members to support the association's work, being flexible and hands-on when required to deliver superior quality service to members, partners, and sponsors.
- Attend CPHR Manitoba events and meetings to provide support and to connect with members, partners, and sponsors.
- Three years of progressive experience leading, organizing, and executing communications, marketing, and promotional projects and initiatives for corporate, education, or professional association sectors.
- Post-secondary education in Communications, Marketing, Business, Arts, or related discipline.
- Strong writing skills tailored to professional and business leaders.
- Demonstrated organizational, planning, and project management skills with attention to detail and ability to achieve project goals within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Self- starter, able to work well independently and as a collaborative team member within an office and remote environment.
- Team player with strong customer focus and proactive problem-solving skills to meet and exceed expectations.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Mac environment).
