Job #4996 - Our stable and well-respected client is seeking an experienced Controller to join their organization on a full-time, permanent basis. Reporting to the VP Finance, you will lead the finance function, and oversee all accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls while providing actionable insights to guide business decision-making. This role is ideal for a strategic, hands-on finance leader with excellent communication skills, a collaborative approach, and a passion for driving operational efficiency. To succeed in this role, you will bring a forward-thinking mindset along with a strong business acumen and the ability to think outside the box. Main responsibilities include:

Lead all accounting operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis
Prepare and present accurate financial statements in line with accounting standards
Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions
Monitor cash flow, working capital and overall financial performance
Maintain internal controls to protect company assets and ensure compliance
Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable and collections
Ensure compliance with Canadian tax regulations and reporting requirements
Collaborate with leadership to set and track financial targets and KPIs
Lead, mentor and develop the accounting team
Support financial planning initiatives and improve systems, processes and reporting

Completed CPA designation or in progress is preferred
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
Minimum 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong leadership and communication skills
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership

How You Will Be Rewarded:

$120,000 – $140,000 annual salary range
