Job DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?The Director, Process Efficiency and Management will play a critical leadership role in shaping the operational backbone of RBC Insurance. Responsible for the strategy, implementation, and management of end-to-end operational processes within the Client Acquisition and Service Teams, this leader will ensure operations are efficient, scalable, and aligned with business growth objectives. By driving process ownership, continuous improvement, and innovation, this role will help establish a best-in-class service model that not only meets regulatory and compliance standards but also delivers sustainable improvements to productivity, client experience, and profitability. This role is central to achieving our long-term strategic priorities and overall NIAT goals.What will you do?
  • Lead the strategy for designing, implementing, and managing end-to-end operational processes that align with Operations and Business objectives
  • Champion a culture of operational excellence by embedding process ownership, continuous improvement, and accountability across the organization
  • Monitor industry trends, emerging practices, and competitor activities to continuously refine processes, ensuring RBC Insurance delivers best-in-class service
  • Collaborate proactively with Product Management, Corporate Underwriting, Digital & Data, and Sales partners to ensure operational processes support business objectives and project benefits are fully realized
  • Evaluate and measure process changes to confirm delivery of stated benefits while identifying new opportunities for efficiency and scalability
  • Support Operations teams in productivity and capacity modeling, enabling data-driven decision-making and resource optimization
What will you need to succeed?Must-have:
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in Operations, Process Improvement, or Operational Excellence, preferably within insurance or financial services
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale process transformation initiatives that delivered measurable efficiency, quality, and client experience improvements
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to balance efficiency, scalability, compliance, and risk management
  • Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing senior executives and cross-functional partners
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, building a culture of accountability, innovation, and operational discipline
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience leveraging data, capacity models, and metrics to inform decisions

  • Professional certifications (e.g., Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, PMP, Agile)
  • Proven experience integrating digital, automation, or AI-driven solutions into operational processes
  • Industry designations
