As a member of this collaborative team, you can expect a safe, diverse and inclusive environment, and on-going learning and career development opportunities.About the Role:Graham is seeking a Senior Design Manager to lead the development and execution of major building projects, ensuring the highest standards of design quality, compliance, and cost efficiency. Reporting to the Senior Design Director, you will play a pivotal role in the Pre-Construction process, managing risk, guiding design strategy, and overseeing Consultant teams to ensure seamless project execution. You’ll be responsible for facilitating collaboration between stakeholders and design teams, ensuring the best possible solutions for our clients while maintaining contractual and compliance obligations.This role is ideal for a forward-thinking design professional who thrives in high-impact environments and is passionate about shaping innovative, efficient, and compliant design solutions.As a Senior Design Manager, at Graham you will:Oversee and enforce design policies, procedures, and compliance requirementsIdentify and mitigate risks within the design processGuide ongoing design efforts to achieve minimal compliance and cost-effective solutionsConduct area checks, assess layout efficiency, and optimize gross-up factorsManage clash-detection processes to enhance design coordinationEnsure timely submission and quality of design deliverablesAudit design documents to meet performance specifications and industry quality standardsCommunicate contract variances and budget impacts to the Commercial teamLead the Design Management of projects from inception through executionProvide expert support to the Pre-Construction Director, Project Director, and Project Execution teamOversee Consultant teams to ensure they meet deliverable deadlines and project milestonesManage the ESDC (Engineering Services During Construction) process during execution phasesQualifications/Experience:Extensive experience in designing and constructing Hospitals and Long-Term Care Facilities preferredDegree in Engineering or Architecture (LEED, PMP, and P.Eng designations are assets)15+ years of experience in construction design managementKnowledge of Lean or IPD projects is an assetProven success working within Design-Build procurement methodsProficiency in MS Office Suite and BIM software toolsStrong working knowledge of Navisworks (3D & 4D) and REVIT (data extraction, model analysis)Compensation:
